For the past few months I’ve been selling Items on Amazon and sourcing them directly from eBay. Averaging about $14 in profit, per sale.
Year to date, I have made a profit of over $2,300. Nearly $1,400 in profit, so far in the month of March. And growing… Everyday I add more items to sell.
So far I have about 300 items listed on Amazon. By the simple rule of probability, the more items I list, the more items I sell. I average about 150-200 new items listed every month.
Around 5 items per day, on average. Everyday, I dedicate between 30 minutes and 2 hours working on this project. That includes researching what items to sell and listing the items, as well as fulfilling the orders.
Not quite at my “4 hour work-week” goal, but getting pretty close. Tim Ferris would be proud. I’m sure.
People have been asking me how to find the listings that sell. The answer to this is more complicated to explain than it actually is to do.
You have to realize there’s an art on how to make money online. There is a learning curve. It’s definitely worth the effort to have a successful “work from home job.”
The fact is that when I started working on this project, I was taking about 30 to 40 minutes just to find one item to sell. Until one day, several weeks later, I found a powerseller on eBay who most of their items were profitable when sold on Amazon.
And so, I go through their entire inventory, and list most of their items.
Finding awesome powersellers has been the key to finding and listing many profitable items. Never forget that quantity of items listed is also super important. The fact is, I’ve only sold about 20 to 30 different items.
But when that item sells; it sells over and over again. This is free money for the taking. It’s a perfect example of a life-hack that dips it’s sticky little hand into a jar full of pennies. That jar being the internet.
The following are the exact steps I take to get the results I’ve been getting.
Step 1. Find that eBay powerseller that has a history of selling dozens or hundreds of the same item.
Step 2. Download the Amazon seller app to your smartphone.
Step 3. Type in the exact title of the ebay listing in the search (There is no room for error when typing in the title into the app. It must be exact.)
Step 4. Scroll through the listings and choose an exact match to the ebay listing. The Amazon seller tool shows you the exact price that item is currently selling at. Fill in the “cost of purchase” space with the price it would cost you to buy the eBay item. Including Any Applicable shipping, fees, and/or taxes.
Step 5. Click on “List” on the bottom, right corner. List your item. Wash, rinse, repeat…
(See screenshots below for example.)

I learned this technique from Ann Sieg’s eCommerce Arbitrage at https://www.dailymarketingcoach.com/ebay/. She created this course to help senior citizens make extra income, to make up for their lack of preparation for retirement. I thought that was a great idea, so I started taking her course in order to teach my elderly parents to make some extra income. The thing is, it doesn’t just work great for the elderly. It works great for young adults who want to subsidize their income in order to eventually quit their jobs. Liberating you to use your time for more creativity. Freeing your time to travel and explore. Not just the world, but yourself. Explore the possibilities of what you’re really capable of when you don’t have to be in a building for 8 hours plus commute time. When you don’t have to sit in a cubicle and cringe when you hear your boss’s voice. You can help your community, or volunteer your time at whatever you deem worthy.
Ann Sieg has a goal of helping 1000 people generate $10,000 per month of passive income. Not just using this technique, but several other online money-making techniques. Inspired by her goal, I have set a similar goal. To help 10 people generate $1,000 per month of passive income. I have started helping a few friends with very little success, so far. However, I’m not discouraged, I know there’s a ton of people out there that would benefit from this drop-shipping technique. And I want to help them set and meet their goals. I don’t even want to charge any money for my time. I simply want the satisfaction of knowing I helped someone make more money. Do you want my help? Please, reach out to me via comments to this blog post. Ask any question you may have. I’ll be happy to answer it. Thank you for reading.
Check out my stats for the month of March, so far. As you can see, I’m averaging roughly $100 a day, 7 days a week. On track for a $3,000 month.
Heres my Amazon page so you know I’m not blowing smoke. Yes, that says over $5,000 in sales in the last 7 days!!!!
