Why I do what I do…

Often times, when asked what I do for a living, I have a hard time expressing what I do without sounding like a liar or a drug dealer.

I usually try to give the fastest, simplest answer possible.  Which is; “I sell stuff on the internet.”

Unfortunately, people are rarely satisfied with that answer.  They usually follow it up with, “what kind of stuff do you sell on the internet”?

For some reason, I find it difficult to express the idea that what I do for a living, and what I do for money are two different things.

I also often get asked, why I write this blog, rather than just keep this priceless information to myself?

The best answer I can give is that it feels good to contribute something positive.  Essentially, I feel I’ve been mooching off of society my entire life.

Like, the first 30 years of my life have been spent taking, absorbing, sucking as much information as possible.  Meanwhile returning little to nothing.

I feel like I’m finally able to give something back.  Although, it feels like I’m giving back a tiny fraction of what I’ve taken and will continue to take, it still feels pretty good.

Strangely enough, the Universe wouldn’t just let me give without receiving something in return.

Besides the sheer sense of fulfillment I get when you reach out to me to share your success; I also receive dividends from you, the readers of this blog.

ebay-3For instance, last month you clicked on my eBay link 289 times.  Netting me over $700.  For this, I can’t thank you enough.

When I started writing this blog, I never once thought anyone would read it, let alone that I’d be able to generate money from it.

This goes to show what we’re capable of when we approach things with a sincere desire to solve problems.  Whether people listen or not.  It’s the action you take that makes the difference.

By the way, the readers of this blog aren’t just building their drop-shipping business.  Several of you have shared with me, your other successes in eCommerce.

Several of you have taken the initiative of investing in yourself and purchased Steve Chou’s Create a Profitable Online Store course.

Taking your business and your life to the next level.

I was happy to help one of our students get a review on his newly privately labeled Amazon product.

The same student volunteered to write a guest blog about his experience going through his first privately labeled product.  I’ll be posting that soon enough.

I had another student surpass me in drop-shipping sales last month.  I want to read her blog.  haha!  Determination is all it takes folks.

Many more of  you are buying my ebook “The 60 day guide to $1,000 in monthly income. How to leverage eBay & Amazon and never touch any inventory.”

If you’re new to this blog, you should know that you don’t need to buy the eBook to build a lucrative drop-shipping business.

All you need to do is read through older blog posts.  You can start here for a better idea of where to begin.

Later, you might decide to buy the eBook anyway, just to show your support.  And because you’re making money, of course.

This is my office for today.  I’m literally writing and publishing this blog from Cabrillo beach in San Pedro, California.

Just a 15 minute walk from where I’m now living.

The entire idea behind the “psychedelic entrepreneur” is to generate passive income in order to pursue one’s true calling in life.

Whether you believe that we’re all meant to be great or not.  You can’t deny that we can all be a little better.

I still don’t know what my true calling in life might be, but I’m confident that I’ll figure it out in the next 30 to 60 years.

Luckily, I’m in no rush.  I have all the time in the world.  Meanwhile, I’ll be attempting to live and learn from each individual moment.

In order to be a real student and explorer of human nature, I need to constantly work at being better.  Better at writing, better at business, better at interacting with other fellow human beings.

It sounds like I’m describing my life from the point of view of an alien from outer space.  It feels that way too.

As if I’ve recently become aware that I too, am part of this human race.

God Damn, humans are fascinating!  By far, my favorite animal.

Animals, for the most part, live their lives feeding off of emotion and instinct.  Humans are the only animal that have the ability to make decisions based on reason and logic.

Still, most of us are living our lives based on momentum gathered by this emotional rollercoaster we call life.

Humans vary so much.  Some of us are really awesome and creative.  Others are super cunty individuals who just take life for granted and never give back.

Nevertheless, it feels as if we’re moving in the right direction.

Thanks to the internet, everyday, more of us are opening our eyes to what is really going on.

And we’re making different decisions because of it.

Decisions that will ultimately lead to the betterment of ourselves, and thus, the betterment of humanity as a whole.

What are your dreams?

What are you trying to be better at?

Is today a good day to die?

If it’s not, you have some work to do.  Luckily, I’m here to help…

Till next time, thank you for being you.
